"I just want to explain simply how meaningful it is that we have Dharma centers, so that we can help so many sentient beings while they have this most precious human body by awakening them to the unmistaken causes of happiness and suffering through explaining the Buddha's teachings on karma, which is our experience, not merely belief. By offering this education we open their lives to all happiness - not just of this life, but that of future lives and the ultimate happiness of liberation from samsara and the peerless happiness of full enlightenment."
~ Lama Zopa Rinpoche

There are many ways to get involved with the Guhyasamaja Center. The Center relies entirely on the kindness and generosity of the community. Please consider helping to bring the Dharma to the Washington D.C. area.

Our mission is to support the study and practice of Buddhism throughout the Greater Washington Metropolitan area following the tradition of His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. We sponsor visiting masters and teachers in the lineage of Lama Tsong Khapa, the founder of the Gelugpa tradition and a teacher of the first Dalai Lama.

Like all FPMT affiliates, The Guhyasamaja Center offers Dharma teachings to the public free of charge. We invite you to make financial donations to our Teaching fund to cover the costs that make our resident teacher’s classes possible. These costs include the translator, attendant, airfare, transportation, health insurance, room, board, stipends and medical care.

On average, the Center spends about $2,000 - $2,500 per month to host Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche (in 2008, transportation, room and board are being donated).

Help support this mission by making a donation either online or via mail. Thank you.
